Leadership

Ms. Johnson is Chairperson of the board. Ms. Johnson has served as our Chief Executive Officer and as a member of our board of directors since March 2024. Prior to joining Agility, Ms. Johnson served as Chief Executive Officer at Magic Leap, an augmented reality technology company, from August 2020 to October 2023. Prior to this role, she was Executive Vice President of Business Development at Microsoft Corporation from September 2014 to July 2020 and was responsible for driving strategic business deals and partnerships across various industries. Before Microsoft, Ms. Johnson was Executive Vice President of Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. and President of Global Market Development at Qualcomm Incorporated. Ms. Johnson currently serves on the boards of directors for Fox Corporation (NASDAQ: FOX) and BlackRock, Inc. (NYSE: BLK). Ms. Johnson received her B.S. in Electrical Engineering from San Diego State University.

Dr. Hurst, our Co-Founder, has served as Chief Robot Officer since May 2023 and previously served as our Chief Technology Officer from November 2015 to June 2023. Dr. Hurst also Co-Founded the Robotics Program at Oregon State University (OSU) and has served as a Professor at OSU for over 17 years. Dr. Hurst received his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, his MS in Robotics, and his Ph.D. in Robotics from Carnegie Mellon University.

Mr. Diez has served as our Chief Business Officer since April 2024. Prior to joining Agility, Mr. Diez served as Chief Marketing Officer from December 2018 to December 2022 and Chief Commercial Officer from January 2023 to April 2024 at Magic Leap, an augmented reality technology company. Earlier in his career, Mr. Diez spent five years at R/GA as Executive Vice President, Global Chief Marketing Officer. Mr. Diez received his BA in Psychology and Chemistry from Baruch College.

Mr. Beer has served as our Chief Financial Officer since July 2026. Prior to joining Agility, Mr. Beer served as Chief Financial Officer at Energy Vault (NYSE: NRGV), a global energy storage company, from April 2024 to July 2026. Prior to this role, he was Chief Financial Officer at FreeWire Technologies, an electric vehicle charging supplier, from May 2021 to April 2024 and Head of Financial Strategy & Investor Relations (amongst other roles) at Luminar Technologies, an autonomous vehicle sensor, from March 2017 to April 2021. Mr. Beer currently serves on the boards of directors for Cambridge Future Tech, SAIF Autonomy, and Literal Labs. Mr. Beer received his B.S. degrees in Finance and Entrepreneurship from the University of Arizona and his MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

Dr. Velagapudi has served as our Chief Technology Officer since April 2024 and previously served as our Chief Architect/VP of Innovation from May 2023 to April 2024. Prior to joining Agility, Dr. Velagapudi served as Director of Engineering from October 2014 to May 2022 and Vice President, Chief Architect of Mobile Robotics from May 2022 to April 2023 at Berkshire Grey, an AI robotics company. Dr. Velagapudi received his B.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering and Computer Science, his MS in Robotics, and his Ph.D. in Robotics from Carnegie Mellon University.

Ms. Hunter has served as our Chief Operating Officer since July 2026 and previously served as our Chief Financial & Operating Officer from December 2024 to July 2026. Prior to joining Agility, Ms. Hunter served as Chief Operating Officer at SunPower Corporation, a residential solar and storage solutions company, from May 2023 to June 2024. On August 5, 2024, SunPower Corporation and certain of its affiliates filed voluntary petitions for relief under Chapter 11 of the United States Bankruptcy Code in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware. In connection with its Chapter 11 cases, SunPower sold its residential solar operating platform and confirmed a liquidating plan. Prior to that, Ms. Hunter served as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer of Nimble Robotics, an AI robotics company, from March 2022 to May 2023. Earlier in her career, Ms. Hunter spent more than 9 years at Amazon in various finance and operations roles including playing a role in the global integration of Kiva Robotics into Amazon after it was acquired in 2012. Ms. Hunter received her BSBA in Finance from Northeastern University.

Ms. Lang has served as our Chief Legal and People Officer since October 2024. Prior to joining Agility, Ms. Lang spent more than 9 years at Magic Leap, an augmented reality technology company, in various roles including as SVP, Legal and Compliance and Chief Legal Officer. Prior to that, Ms. Lang spent almost 7 years at Perkins Coie in the firm’s Venture Capital practice group. Ms. Lang received her J.D. from Chapman University.

Mr. Marroquin has served as our Chief Hardware Officer since July 2025 and as our Vice President of Hardware Engineering from February 2024 to July 2025. Prior to joining Agility, Mr. Marroquin served as Senior Vice President of Engineering at Tonal, a smart home gym company, from May 2022 to February 2023. Prior to that, Mr. Marroquin spent more than 3 years at Lyft in various roles within Lyft Level 5, its autonomous vehicle division. Prior to that, Mr. Marroquin held senior engineering leadership roles at GoPro, including Senior Director and Director roles in camera, aerial robotics, and stabilization engineering. Mr. Marroquin received his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Texas-Pan American and his MBA from the University of Texas McCombs School of Business.
